I’m cold and I’m wet and I want to go home.
Mind you this place is now my home - damp and cold like Wales. Look at this mud up to my knees, I’m drowning in it, there’s no escaping it.
I am ready. I am. Well as ready as I can be. Off I go. No Man’s Land. Ready to die - hopefully not!
I’d love to stay alive. Positivity is the key. Trouble is I only feel negative. I can’t escape it song: “Drip drip drip little April Showers…”
I need to distract myself, I need to forget this nightmare. Happy thoughts please! Oh God let me survive!
1-2-3 and over.
Come on, you can do it, just climb and shoot, don’t think about anything else.
